The name didn’t come from a story when I burnt a cookie order, it came from my decision to heal.
Growing up, “burnt black cookie” was a hurtful nickname used to make me feel ugly because of my dark skin. For a long time, it made me feel unloved and unworthy… But God!

 

As I grew older, healed, strengthened my relationship with God, and found my voice, I realized something:

I am not what they called me, but I can decide what it becomes. So I took the words that once hurt me and baked them into something beautiful.
